Betty Wilson

Betty J. Wilson, age 80, of Bellevue, passed away on November 29, 2019.  She was born on July 18, 1939 in Athens, MI., the daughter of Anton and Rosemond (Haff) Burgardt.  She attended school in East Leroy and Hastings High School, receiving her GED in 1989.  Betty was a waitress, cook, and manager at many area restaurants, and retired from United Steel & Wire in 2004 after fifteen years of service.  Betty loved to play Bingo, Euchre and crochet afghans.  She was united in marriage to Thomas Wilson Sr. in 1963, he preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death are her parents, brother; Duane Burgardt, sisters; Martha Morse, Mary Terpening, Judy Letts, and Joan Roush.  Surviving are a son; Thomas Wilson Jr. of Bellevue, step daughter; Priscilla Hamlin of Athens, step grandson; Al LaBar of Jackson, brother in law; Bob Roush of Bellevue, special nephews; Joe (Sarah) Terpening and William (Cathy) Allen both of Bellevue, Bingo buddy; Penny Wright, and best friend; Bonnie Tuttle.  In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 19757 Capital Ave. N.E., Battle Creek.  The family has requested that you please wear your blue jeans.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.  Arrangements by Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. www.henryfuneralhome.org
