Bobby Ledford

Passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Medilodge of Portage surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was born on August 20, 1945, in Battle Creek, the son of J.H. and Ora Grace (Vaughn) Ledford. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. On August 21, 1971, in Spring Lake , MI, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Workman who survives. Bobby worked for the Kellogg Company for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed, bowling with “K” friends, golfing, shooting pool, fishing for bluegill, playing cards (500 Rummy) and running marathons including  the Detroit Marathon. As a young man he enjoyed his first car a Roadrunner and driving fast. Surviving are his children, Anne (Jake) Kimmel, Abbi (Austin Huyser) Ledford, Matt (Nina) Ledford and Tom (Paula) Ledford; 5 grandchildren, AJ, Olivia, Anastasia, Ryan and Creia; brothers and sisters, Janice (Robert) Hernandez , Jerry (Kathy) Ledford and Carol (James) Stainoff. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.H. and Grace Ledford. Bobby was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2019, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to the service. Interment with full military honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to The Michael J.
