Casey L. Eakins, age 36, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019. She was born January 26, 1983 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Jimmy C. and Sandra J. (Palmatier) Eakins. Casey was a 2001 graduate of Lakeview Alternative High School and had worked at both Hi Lex and Tenneco. Casey was a member of Christ Alive Church, which she truly loved and will be missed by many. In keeping with Casey’s generous spirit, it was her decision to donate her organs so that others may live, and her gift has already benefited three people.  She is survived by her son: Isaiah Eakins-Gray; fiancé David L. Turner; parents: Jim “Angel” and Sandy Elston; brother: James Eakins; two nieces: Taylor Eakins and Kaylynn Bentley; nephew: Ethan Bentley and Grandmother: Marilyn Palmatier. She was preceded in death by her father Jimmy Eakins and daughter: Seanna Eakins-Gray. Casey loved spending time with her son, and enjoyed bowling, fishing and riding motorcycles. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday November 22, 2019 at Christ Alive Church, 8938 Bellevue Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49014, with visitation at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
