Donna Switzer

Donna S. Switzer, age 87, of Ceresco, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Glen Arbor Hospice. She was born December 15, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Acer John and Margaret (Arkin) Bezesky. Donna loved her horses. She raised Quarter Horses for many years and was a member of the MQHA, AQHA, Buckskin Association and Palomino Association. She also supported three Native American Tribes and was an honorary member. On September 21, 1973 Donna was married to Murray Switzer, who survives. She is also survived by her three children: Larry Taylor of San Francisco, California, James (Diane) Taylor of White Lake Township, Michigan and Linda (Kip) Doyle of Battle Creek; one granddaughter: Saundra (Paul) Bird of Melbourne, Florida; two great-grandchildren: Andrew and Keegan Bird; her brother: John Michael Bezesky of Onekama, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Jacqueline Cecelia Walton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A private interment will be held at Newton Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
