Floyd Sampson

February 26, 1941 — May 29, 2020

Floyd James Sampson, age 79 of Mill Lake, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 surrounded by his family and special nieces Jenny Artz and Marissa Artz.  Floyd was born February 26, 1941 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Charles Edward and Fanny Mae (Salyer) Sampson. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for several years and retired from Michigan Paperboard after 41 years of services. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, bowling, spending time with his family and teasing everybody. He attended Lakeside Baptist Church and loved his church family. Floyd is survived by his wife Eva Hester Sampson; two children: James (Christine) Sampson of Battle Creek and Michelle (Marc) Roy of Albion; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; three stepchildren and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years Marlene Sampson. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Lakeside Baptist Church, 15025 N. Uldriks Drive, Battle Creek with Pastor Larry Hendershot officiating. A private committal service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be given to Lakeside Baptist Church. Arrangements by the Richard A.
