Grace Morgan

Grace Morgan, age 97, of Springfield, Michigan, passed away on January 3, 2021.  She was born in Livingston, Tennessee, the daughter of Ogle and Winnie (Norrod) Beaty.  Grace came to Battle Creek in 1945.  She was united in marriage on January 5, 1947 to Billy Morgan, he preceded her in death on September 20, 1983.  She was previously employed by Percy Jones Hospital, Dare Products, American Legion Hospital and as a dietician for Community Hospital from which she retired.  She attended various Baptist Churches and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Battle Creek.  Grace loved to travel, playing cards, puzzles, bowling, quilting and crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.  Grace was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Christine Hinkle, OT Beaty, Benton Beaty, Robert Beaty, Lester Beaty, Herbert Beaty and Luther Beaty.  Surviving are her son; John (Rossene) Morgan of Springfield, MI., brothers and sisters; Willie (Verta) Beaty of Cookeville, TN., Sadie Vaughn of Cookeville, TN., Hazel Reifert of Sterling Heights, MI., Flora (Wendell) Baker of Cookeville, TN., Betty Pardue of Cookeville, TN., Louise (Earnest) Mathany of Pendleton, IN.,  granddaughters; Nicole (Mike) Anderson of Navarre, FL., Heather (David) England of Portage, great grandchildren; Brent Anderson, Hayley England, and Michael England.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with inurnment at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Macular Degeneration Association or the American Heart Association.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
