Joan Depung

Joan Kay DePung, age 87, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born September 12, 1935 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Kenneth Wayne and Tressa Pauline (Pospech) Davis. Mrs. DePung was a 1954 graduate of Lakeview High School and retired from the Kellogg Company after 20 years of employment. She was a member of the Battle Creek Elks Lodge B.P.O. #131 and following retirement enjoyed travel with her husband in their 5 ^th Wheel Camper for many years. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Gary L. DePung in 2009, her son Steven M. DePung in 1981 and her parents. She is survived by her children: Greg (Susan Taylor) DePung of Battle Creek and Lissa (Mark) Krans of Skandia, MI; granddaughter Amanda Beesinger and great granddaughter Brooklynn Pelkey both of Hurst, Texas; brother Ken (Louisa) Davis; brother-in-law Rick (Kristin) Hirleman and her best friend Marian Weller. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 in the Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Robert L. Zuhl officiating. Arrangements by the Richard A.
