Margaret Bye

Margaret A. (Peggy) Bye, age 79, of Battle Creek, passed away on January 19, 2020.  She was born on October 7, 1940 in Racine, WI., the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Ricchio) Whyle.  Margaret came to Battle Creek as a young child.  She was employed by the Post Cereal Company for thirty-one years, retiring in 1997.  Margaret was a very giving person with a flair for life.  She enjoyed shopping, crafting, garage sales, decorating, collecting dolls and the sunshine.  Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister; Pat Morgan.  Margaret was united in marriage on April 30, 1961 to Charles Bye Sr., he survives.  Also surviving are her sons; Chuck (Katie) Bye Jr. of Lansing, Michael Bye of Battle Creek, David (Alan Hester) Bye of Detroit, daughter; Sheryl (Steve Culver) Bye of Lawton, brother; Bob Whyle of Vicksburg, sister; Mary Traister of Battle Creek, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.  Private family services will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Calhoun County Animal Shelter.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
