Richard Niemann

Passed on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Battle Creek. Richard was born on October 23, 1956, in Chicago, IL, the son of  Clifford Roy and Mary Elizabeth (McBroom) Niemann. He had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Lakeview High School in 1975. He was employed with Consumers Concrete, Four Star Muffler and owned and operated Cliffson Pavers and Landscaping. Richard married Dori (Richar) Niemann in 1996. She preceded him in death in 2020. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Chico was very athletic and enjoyed basketball, golf, softball, and was a devoted Detroit Sports everything fan and Michigan State fan. Chico had a passion for landscaping but loved family most of all. Surviving are his children, Andrew Franklin (Sarah) Niemann, Jaime Lynne (Mark) Wuilliez, Regan Elizabeth Niemann, Stephanie Rae Niemann and Alexia Nicole Niemann; grandchildren, Zeek Wuilliez and Emmeline Niemann; brothers and sister, Tom (Alva) Niemann, Frank Niemann, Patricia (David) Goff and Mike Niemann. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane E. Niemann, his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and his life partner, Dori Niemann. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m., and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Newbre Cemetery. www.henryfuneralhome.org
