Alexis Louise Darling

Alexis “Ali” Louise Darling, 17, of Battle Creek, passed away on June 2, 2026. Born in November of 2008, Ali filled every space she entered with warmth, creativity, and a fierce, loyal love that made people feel safe and seen.

Ali was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She had a caretaker’s heart and a defender’s spirit — always the first to stand up for others and the last to think of herself. Her vibrant personality shone through everything she touched, whether she was drawing, styling hair and nails, or designing the unique clothing creations she was so proud of.

She had recently celebrated a milestone she worked incredibly hard for: walking in her high school graduation ceremony on May 27, 2026, after completing her studies in October 2025. She was also employed at McDonald’s, where she was known for her kindness, humor, and strong work ethic. Outside of school and work, Ali volunteered at the Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry, giving her time and heart to a community she cared deeply about.

Ali is survived by her mother, Amy (Richardson) Darling, and her father, Erik Darling; her brothers, Steven Darling and Jack Darling; her grandparents Rick and Sue Darling; and her grandmother Cindy O’Brien.

She is also survived by many aunts & uncles: Heather & Greg Taylor, Karrie & Andy Kenney, Rob & Sarah Tackett, Danella & Kevin Darling, Jeremy Darling, David & Breann Furtado, Dan Furtado, and Amy & Ryan Darling, along with many cousins who loved her dearly.

She is also remembered with love by her best friends, Emily Feltner and Landen Collins, whom she cherished with all that she was.

Ali’s family hopes she will be remembered as the loving, vibrant, creative soul she was — a girl who gave endlessly, helped instinctively, and made the world brighter simply by being in it. She was a gift to all who knew her, with her passing, the world’s light will forever be dimmer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11th, from 4–8 PM, and funeral services will take place on Friday, June 12th at 11 AM, both at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, 703 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI. www.henryfuneralhome.org
