Allen M. Blickley

Allen M. Blickley, age 76, of Battle Creek passed away on March 18, 2026 at Medilodge of Marshall. He was born on February 16, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Kenneth Blickley and Ruth (VanderJagt) King. He previously lived in Kentwood, Michigan before moving to Battle Creek in 2012 to make his home. He served as a medic in the United States Army. His passion and heart were through his volunteering to minister to those incarcerated. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, coloring, reading the Bible, and was an avid animal lover. He was united in marriage on September 14, 2013 to Katherine (Meade) Hocking, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Jennifer (Raymond) Verbeck of Ionia, MI., Holly (Michael) Barnes of Barryton, MI., Heather Blickley of Rockford, MI., Heidi (Aaron) Cassiday of Rockford, MI., brothers; Steven Blickley and William (LaVerne) Blickley, sister, Debra Pate, special “Bonus” children; Tamara Hastings and Beni (Meri) Shabani, several grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral service scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Journey Church, 800 S. 24th St., Battle Creek, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow the service at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Haven or the Billy Graham Association.
