Amanda Jane Kosky

Amanda Jane Kosky, age 66 of Battle Creek, died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born June 28, 1956, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Richard Erven and Anna Marie (Coyne) Frantz. Amanda was a 1974 graduate of Harper Creek High School. On April 26, 1975, she was married to Anthony Peter Kosky who preceded her in death on May 9, 1995. Amanda loved her family dearly and is survived by her two daughters: Angela (Jose) Alvarado of Marshall and Michelle Carter of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren: Anjaliah, Aaliyah, Jordan, Donovan, Ian, Dominic, Demetrius and Nazeon; nine great-grandchildren which includes Grayson who was a special great granddaughter to Amanda and number ten on the way; three brothers and two sisters: Richard C. Frantz of Battle Creek, Diane Hyde of Kentucky, Donald Frantz of Kentucky, Melanie Ryska of Somerset, Michigan and Andy Frantz of East Leroy, Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Amanda’s life will be held at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steven Shafe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held at Albion Memory Gardens at a later date. Amanda did a lot of volunteer work with the Boy Scouts of America and the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to them or to the American Cancer Society. www.henryfuneralhome.org
