Amarion Maurice White, age 22, of Battle Creek unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born to Priscilla Hicks in Battle Creek on July 17, 2003. Amarion graduated from Pennfield High School with the Class of 2021. He played football for 2 years and excelled at lacrosse for 4 years. Amarion was employed at Besco water treatment as a service technician. He was known there as “Tweet”, and he was family to them all.
Amarion had a “Larger than Life” personality and a shoe collection even bigger. Amarion touched everyone around him. He had a very charismatic personality and a gift to make any situation a positive one. Amarion was the “Life of the Party” and brought an incredible energy. To know him is to love him. Amarion loved gaming with his friends. He will forever be known as “Retweet”. Amarion had a love for golf with the most unorthodox left-hand swing. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Amarion was a die-hard Michigan State fan.
Amarion is survived by his mother, Priscilla Hicks; his sisters, Vannesa Hicks and LaStacia Powe; his niece, Genesis and nephew, Marquavion. He is also survived by his aunts, Lucinda (Scott Smith) Hicks, Melinda (Frank) Knapp, and Joyce (Roy) Lephiew; his uncles, Mark (Jodee) Hicks and Jerry (Angela) Mcghan. Amarion had many family members and very close friends. Amarion was preceded in death by his father, Marc Maurice White; his sister, Staceshawn; his beloved dog, Fred; his grandma, Jackie and his grandpa, Mark.
Amarion’s heart still beats every day through the Gift of Life organization. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday. There will be a dinner and gathering immediately after for all family and friends to share memories and celebrate the life of Amarion at 233 Creekside Drive, Battle Creek.
