Amy L. Maddix-Elben, age 36, of Bellevue passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2026. She was born on August 8, 1989 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Edward Maddix and Teresa (Robinson) Hollister. Amy previously lived in Battle Creek, Dowling, and Nashville before making her home in Bellevue. She attended Hastings Schools and Everest Institute. She was previously employed by Pennfield Schools, Cirilla’s, and CB Wood, Window and Doors. She was working as a cashier at Lacey Mart for the past 3 ½ years. Amys interests included drawing, urban exploration, going to air and car shows, star gazing, and spending time in nature. Amy loved spending time with her family, especially her children. She was united in marriage on November 10, 2024 to David Elben II. Amy was preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law Debi Braun, and grandparents; Cora and Dolan Robinson and Winifred and Alfred Maddix. Amy is survived by her husband, David Elben II of Bellevue, mother, Teresa Hollister of Dowling, children, Aiden Maddix, Samara Gasser, Cora Wiler, Sabastian Wiler, brother, Shawn (Stacey) Whitney of Washington, sisters, Shea (Luke) Ewing of Bellevue, Delia (Amanda) Montgomery of Battle Creek, step children, Jacob Elben, Jeremiah Elben, Johnnie Elben, and Alexis Trierweiler, Step grandson, Oliver Elben, nieces, Ashley (Dustin) Meece, Autumn Whitney, Alexa Ewing, nephews, Aaron Whitney, Jacob Whitney, Steven Cowles, Brock Ewing, and special friend, Scott Gasser. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with a luncheon at the American Legion in Battle Creek following the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
