Andrea Sue Randall

Andrea Sue Randall of East Leroy, Michigan passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 65 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Center after a short battle with cancer. She was born on March 7, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan to James and Darlene (Faulk) Randall. She was the second of six children. Andrea married Tae Hun Hur in Battle Creek, MI in 2006. She is cherished as a wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Andrea graduated from Athens High School in 1976 and Michigan State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then completed training to become a licensed Medical Lab Technician. She worked as a medical laboratory microbiologist after graduating and recently retired from the VA Hospital in Battle Creek. Andrea spent time abroad as a medical missionary in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Mongolia. Andrea was a long-time member of Woodland Church (First Wesleyan) of Battle Creek and served on their Missions Board for many years. She enjoyed working with her husband, Tae, to renovate houses. She also enjoyed drives with her husband, gardening, fishing and telling her nieces and nephews they were not allowed to get taller than her. Above all, Andrea was a child of God, and her quiet devotion and expression of her faith has been an example to us all. Her caring spirit and sense of humor will be missed.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Tae Hun Hur, mother Darlene Randall, siblings Constance Hamlin, Ron Randall (Daniela), David Randall (Jayne) and Jamie Henderson (John). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Rebekah (Mike) Echevarria, Caleb Hamlin, Hannah (Travis)Williams, Sarah Randall, Jim (Kelsi) Randall, Jessika (Jeremiah) Schultz, Chelsea Randall, Rachel Randall, Jacob (Caitlyn) Henderson and Joseph (Sydney) Henderson. Andrea will also be missed by 13 great nieces and nephews, as well as dozens of family members in her extended Randall and Faulk families.
