Betty J. Jacobs

Betty Madden Jacobs, age 97 of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Betty was born in 1928 to Von and Sadie Orsborn. She married Robert Madden in 1946, and they had four children together. Robert passed when Robert Jr. was just three years old in 1957. Betty spent most of her years working for Post Cereals. In 1984 she married Roy “Jake” Jacobs. He also preceded her in death in 2012. Betty was also preceded in death by her two daughters: Linda Boyer and Nancy Perry, and two grandchildren: William Madden Jr. and Beatrice Hueckel. Betty is survived by her two sons: William (Jackie) Madden and Robert (Melanie) Madden; ten grandchildren: Bob Madden, Denise Hall, Craig Madden, Lonnie Madden, Crystal Maitland, Robbie Madden, Ryan Madden, Russell Madden, Scott Madden and Erika Hutchison; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Betty was an avid bowler for many years. She was a lifetime member of the P.N.A. Club and Eagles Lodge. She enjoyed the casino and gambling a little. In accordance with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family graveside service was held at Hicks Cemetery. A luncheon to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at the P.N.A.
