Carolyn Borchardt

Died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Evergreen Senior Care. Carolyn was born on May 21, 1940, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Rainey and Jesse (Sexton) Hughes. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was united in marriage to Norman Borchardt who preceded her in death in 2016. Surviving are sons, Scott L. Borchardt and Douglas W. Borchardt; grandchildren; Chris (Brenda) Borchardt, Stephanie (Kenneth) Prough and David (Elizabeth) Borchardt; adopted grandchildren, Ashley Stanley and Brittany Stanley; great grandson, Ryan Prough and a lifelong close friend, Kay McBride. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. www.henryfuneralhome.org
