Claire E. Multer

Died on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, MI. Claire was born on October 20, 1931, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Loren and Lillian (Johnson) Newberry. Claire was a class of 1949 graduate of Coldwater High School. She was united in marriage to Andrew J. Multer on October 23, 1949, he preceded her in death in 2015. Claire was a past member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Bruce Multer, Michael (Cathy) Multer and Mark (Kim) Multer; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, William, Loren and James Newberry and a sister, Dorothy Newberry.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., prior to the service. A private graveside service will follow.
