Daniel L. Clemence, Age 80, of Battle Creek passed away on January 27, 2024. He was born February 1, 1943, in Battle Creek to his parents Richard and Leatrice (Bailey) Clemence. Dan's career spanned an impressive 35 years at Post Foods, where he held the position of Maintenance Supervisor. Dan was also a master electrician who would often oversee many other electricians and maintenance employees. Many of those colleagues became lifelong friends. Outside of his professional life, Dan had a variety of hobbies and interests. He was a Pickleball enthusiast, often participating in friendly matches with friends and fellow picklers. Additionally, he found great joy in building projects to include his offroad Jeep (Jigsaw) and motorcycles that he used to competitively race. Dan loved the thrill of speed. An outdoorsman at heart, Dan immersed himself in various outdoor activities such as boating, trapshooting and mountain biking. During the winters, Dan and his long-time girlfriend, Joyce Sickle enjoyed Happy Trails resort in Surprise Arizona where he had countless friends. While in Arizona, Dan loved to be outdoors off roading and hiking. Dan's memory will be cherished by his surviving family and friends. He leaves behind his beloved daughters Shannon (Rob) Brown of Battle Creek and Haylee (Tony) Dixon of Hickory Corners. He was also a loving grandfather to Ashley (Brandon) McGovern, Alex (Lindsey) Walter, Hunter Brown, Alyvia Dixon, as well as a great-grandfather to Rylee and Cayden McGovern. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents. In remembrance of Dan's remarkable life and many accomplishments. Daniel L.
