David Eugene Enos

David Eugene Enos, age 89 of Battle Creek passed away at Beacon Health, Kalamazoo on Thursday morning, October 1, 2026. He was born in Battle Creek on December 18, 1936, the son of William and Margaret Enos. David graduated from Lakeview High School and faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserves. He worked as an optician in the Battle Creek area for more than 40 years and after retirement, David enjoyed his time working at the Cedar Farms Golf Course.

David is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Enos; his children, Michael (Mary) Enos of Florida, Brett Enos, Steve Enos, and Melissa (Michael) Ehart, all of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Jacob, Asher, Rebekah, Aaron, DJ (Scott), and Krysta; his great-grandchild, Kenny; and a brother, Richard (Paddy) Enos. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kathy Enos.

David was a true sports enthusiast. He enjoyed coaching his children’s teams and cheering on his Detroit Lions and University of Michigan Wolverines. David also enjoyed Canadian fishing trips with his friends, golfing and collecting model ships & boats.
