David Matteson

David G. Matteson, age 81 of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was born April 26, 1931 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Clifford and Sarah (Barnum) Matteson. Mr. Matteson had worked at Eaton Corporation for over 30 years and most recently was a baker at Louie’s Donuts where he worked for over 20 years. On July 13, 1957 he was married to Elsie (Coats) in Marshall and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2005. David was also preceded in death by his son, Michael A. Matteson, his parents and two sisters: Florence Wagner and Mary Probst. Surviving are two daughters: Laurie (Jeff) Palmer and Linda Matteson both of Battle Creek and two granddaughters: Jessica and Nikole Palmer. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to The Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
