Dorothy F. McNally, 76 of Battle Creek, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born June 3, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of James and Taressa (Renew) Mulgrew. Dorothy worked at United Steel and Wire for 40 years as a computer operator until her retirement and also worked as a home health care aide, a position she thoroughly enjoyed. She was an avid reader. Dorothy is survived by three children: Ronette (Terry) Felter of Battle Creek, Michael McNally of Bellevue and Kristy McNally of Battle Creek; four grandchildren: Tera (Joe) Wilson, Kelly (Eric) Kent, Senior Airman Kyle Groll and Airman Brian Groll; four great-grandchildren: Ethan and Isabelle Wilson, Eli and Sarah Kent; two sisters: Marilyn Thrift and Pat (Tom) Tyler both of Brooks, KY; one brother: Richard Mulgrew of Indianapolis, IN; brother-in-law: Gordon Miller of Battle Creek; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Cali. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Donna Kurtti and JoAnne Miller; one brother: James Mulgrew and her former husband: Ronald McNally. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
