Douglas D. Bracy born March 28, 1945, in Santa Ana, California, and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and boundless kindness. A 1964 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Doug proudly served as class president, a testament to the respect and admiration he received from his peers a theme that would continue throughout his life. Doug honorably served his country in the U.S. Army as a Vietnam veteran, marking a chapter defined by bravery and dedication. He later built a long and dedicated career with Musashi Auto, where he was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and welcoming spirit. Doug truly did not have a mean bone in his body—his gentle nature, quick wit, and steady kindness left a memorable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. One of Doug’s greatest joys in life was watching his three step-grandchildren Kaylin, Roman and Dominic at their sporting events. You could always spot him on the sidelines with his iPad in hand, proudly recording their games and cheering them on with all his heart. During retirement, Doug cherished spending the cold Michigan winter months in Florida with his wife, enjoying sunshine, relaxation, and cherished moments together. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Thelma Bracy, and one son, whom he held forever in his heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Miller. He also leaves behind his stepchildren and step grandchildren all of whom he cared for deeply. Doug’s kindness, charm, and generous heart touched every life he encountered, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. His memory will continue to live on in the stories, the laughter, and the love he shared so freely with the world.
