Dr. Wayne Charles Snyder DVM

Wayne Charles Snyder DVM, 84, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully, remembered for his compassion, service, and kindness. He was born to Frank and Greta Snyder, Wayne grew up on a farm, raised sheep in 4-H, and graduated from Michigan State University after attending Kellogg Agricultural School. Wayne began his veterinary career with Charles Roberts at Lakeview Veterinary Clinic and devoted his life to caring for animals and the families who loved them.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene; his brother, Bruce Snyder; his children, Shane Snyder, Scott Snyder (Gwen), Laura Witherspoon (Brian), Dawn Forsmann (Scott), Brian Guess, Arthur St. James (Esther); seven grandchildren, Shane Snyder II (Lil Shane), Anthony Reyos, Andrea Reyos, Cody Bennett, Zach Witherspoon, Andrew Reyos & Alexis Reyos; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne enjoyed fishing, sports, The Price Is Right, and time with friends from the exchange club and bowling league. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and devotion to family and animals.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Celebration of His Life with family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., Thursday.
