Erskine Thomas Boshers, 68, passed away peacefully at home in Battle Creek, Michigan, on October 19, in the presence of family, close friends, and his beloved dog, Moose. He was born April 15, 1958, in Battle Creek to Harold and Helen (Bell) Boshers. Erskine graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1984, including an assignment in Germany. He worked for many years in automotive manufacturing plants in the Fort Custer area before retiring in 2021.
Erskine loved riding his Harley-Davidson, rock and roll, playing cards with friends, tubing and kayaking on the Kalamazoo River, and hosting backyard cookouts. He was known for having a good time—often with a Miller High Life in hand—and for always being willing to lend a helping hand.
Erskine was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Gloria Peterson; and his wife, Peggy (Meyers) Boshers. He is survived by his daughters, Lindsey (David) Obey, Danielle (Taylor) Snow, Sabrina (Keith) Saggio, Sally (Kirk) Henning, and Jessica (Rick) Lykins; and his brother, Buddy (Bev) Boshers. He also leaves behind 13 cherished grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A celebration of life will be held on November 7th at 4:00 PM at the Springfield Burma Center located at 765 Upton Ave, Springfield, Michigan. www.henryfuneralhome.org
