Esther Virginia Squires

Died on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Battle Creek. Esther was born on October 21, 1926, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clark and Audra (Rou) Williams. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. She married William M. Squires who preceded her in death in 1996. Esther worked for the Kellogg Company from 1945 to 1947. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and made several quilts and pin cushions, gardening, baking and traveling. Surviving are sons, Melvin L. Squires of Battle Creek and Allen M. (Gayle) Squires of Gaylord, MI; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean M. Jones and a nephew, Jim Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry E. Williams. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
