Frances Ann Roe, 95, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, peacefully at home under hospice care.
Frances was born on October 4,1930, in Coldwater, Michigan to Claude and Ruth (Zeller) Peavey. She attended Coldwater Community Schools and graduated with the Class of 1948. Shortly after graduating, Frances married Kenneth E. Roe on June 24, 1950. Kenneth preceded Frances in death on April 4,1988. Together they had three children, Sheryl (Iden), Deborah (Anderson), and Douglas Roe.
Frances was an active lifelong member of Cornerstone Community Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was also a member of the 1930’s Club, The Christian Singles Club, Covered Bridge Society and worked at Coldwater Regional Hospital for over 25 years.
Frances loved covered bridges and lighthouses and did a lot of traveling with her husband, family, and friends. In her spare time, she worked in her flower garden, played cards and board games, put puzzles together, and went thrift shopping. Above all else, Frances loved her family and spending time with them. Birthdays and Holidays brought her the most joy.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Gary) Anderson of Wisconsin; her grandchildren, JC Weitermann of Wisconsin, Julie (Pete) Mathis of Union City, and Janice (Travis) Wiest of Burlington; Trisha (Eric) McKinney of Wisconsin; her great grandchildren, Kaila McKinney, Emily Wiest, Ethan Wiest, Parker Mathis, and Flynn Mathis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Community Church, 3030 Beckley Rd. Battle Creek, MI 49015
A visitation will be held just prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 PM also at the church. Following the service, Frances will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2435 W Territorial Rd. Battle Creek, MI 49015.
A light luncheon will follow the cemetery service at Cornerstone Community Church.
