Died on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Rose Arbor Place in Kalamazoo.  Franklin was born on September 25, 1951, in Battle Creek, the son of LeRoy C. and Betty J. (Wheaton) Hocott. He had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School. He married the former Penny LeClear in 1976, they divorced in 1984. He then married the former Tammy Rathburn in June of 1987, which ended in divorce 1998. Frank was employed at Post Cereals for 37 years in production, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed wintering in Avon Park, Florida up until 2020, bowling, fishing, golfing, going camping, boating, softball and watching his son’s sporting events. Surviving is a son, Franklin “Frank” L. Hocott II; a brother, Donald (Paula) Hocott, a nephew, Greg (Marie) Hocott and nieces, Amy (Dan) Fiedler and Jenni (John) Riley. A visitation will be held Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family. www.henryfuneralhome.org
