Gary Lee Keller

Gary Lee Keller, age 69, of Climax and formerly of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2023, at home.  He was born on November 13, 1953, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Homer and Betty (Brigham) Keller.  Gary graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1972.  He was previously employed by Lakeland Asphalt, Denso Manufacturing, City of Battle Creek, and Reith-Riley Construction Company.  Gary’s passions were restoring cars (Keller Kustoms), attending car shows, gardening, drawing, and going out to breakfast.  Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was known for giving his “Squeeze Tight” and many would say he was the best hugger around.  Gary was united in marriage to Dawn Reschner on July 28, 2007, she survives.  Also surviving are his children; Shaina Keller, Alisha Hantz and Kody (Emily) Keller all of Battle Creek and Kaitlyn Keller of Climax, stepchildren; Chad, Shannon and Candy Bissett all of Battle Creek, brothers; David and Eric Keller both of Battle Creek, twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Myrtle Brigham.  In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life scheduled for Friday, July 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A.
