In loving memory of George Robert Harris

March 7, 1959 – September 3, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Robert Harris, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 67.

George was born on March 7, 1959, in Huntington, West Virgina to Phyllis Harris. Throughout life, he was known for his quick-witted humor and his love of cars and motorcycles.

George enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, and mowing the lawn. He loved going to car shows with his son, Ryan, teasing all of his grandchildren, anything motorcycles with his daughter, Michelle, and taking care of the lawn at his daughter Jennifer’s house where he resided.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Weesner) Harris; his daughters, Jennifer (Chuck Burdick) Berns, Michelle (Jacob) Mabus; his son, Ryan (Amy) Harris; his mother, Phyliss Harris; his sister, Donna (Ralph) Harris-Eggleston; his brother, Richard (Karen) Harris; his grandchildren, Adrien Harris, Paige Harris, Maxwell Rhea, Cailyn Rhea, Ryley Berns, Alyssa Berns, Isaac Harris, Gage Mabus, Lexi Mabus, Trevor Mabus, Eliana Mabus; and a great-grandchild, Adeline Harris. George is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, in-laws, and many others that were adopted into the family along the way. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Harris.

A celebration of life will be held later to be determined by family.

George will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
