Died Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Battle Creek. Gloria was born on September 7, 1931, in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Roland and Florence Fleming. She was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in South Bend, Indiana, and then attended Michigan State University in 1950. She worked as a service rep for Indiana Bill in South Bend, manager of Spa Steak House in Battle Creek for 11 years catering and then catering manager and supervisor of food services at Albion College in Albion, MI, until her retirement. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 40 years and the Red Hat Ladies. Gloria liked to play cards, sew-crocheting, but her favorite past time was to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren when she was able. She was a volunteer at Mercy Pavilion assisted living for many years. A love of people, children, birds, dogs, cats and doing for others young or old. She is survived by her children, Jon Gillette of Battle Creek, Deborah Morris of Battle Creek and Dawn (Del) Livingston of Dallas Texas; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Fleming of Cape Coral, FL; sisters-in-laws, Georgiana Fleming of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roland Edward Fleming, Jr., Howard W. Fleming and a sisters, Barbara R. Fleming, and Bettylou Miller . In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a future date. The inurnment will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan.
