Ilene Kay Leonard

Ilene K. Leonard, age 78, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born August 21, 1944 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Loren Lyle and Alice Irene (Lopshire) Leonard. Ilene was a 1962 graduate of Harper Creek High School and was a licensed cosmetologist working in several hair salons in the area for 30 years. She had also worked at Asmo Manufacturing for 13 years. Ilene loved camping, going out to eat, and collecting spoons, lighthouses and Native American Indian items. She is survived by her daughters: Debra Imus Wyatt and Diana Lockmiller; nine grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren and great greatgrandchildren; a sister: Ruthann (Daniel) Johnson, Sr; her brother: Richard (Nancy) Leonard; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friend. Ilene was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Billie and Lawrence Leonard. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ceresco Cemetery.
