Jackson “Big Jack” L. Warren, age 82, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 1, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1939 in Battle Creek, the son of Delson and Violet (Cross) Warren. Jackson graduated in 1958 from Battle Creek Central High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed by the Battle Creek Veterans Hospital as a plumber, and later as a power plant operator retiring in 2001. Jackson was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life member of the North American Hunting and Fishing Club and the American Legion Post #257. Jackson was united in marriage on February 3, 1962 in Battle Creek to Diane Potter. He was preceded in death by his parents; Delson and Violet Warren, beloved grandparents; Pearl and Earl Cross, brother; Conrad Warren, sister; Sharon Warren, half-sisters; Alice Busick and Kathleen Howard, and a half-brother; Lowell Malik. Surviving are his loving wife; Diane Warren of Battle Creek, daughters; Vicki (Shawn) Mosley and Kelly Warren, both of Battle Creek, Lorraine Ghiasi of Las Vegas, NV., Susan (Oscar) Gamble of Lehigh Acres, FL., sister; Janet(Thomas) Warren of Knoxville, TN., brother; Gary (Joanne) Warren of Zeeland, MI., 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and special friends. Funeral Service scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place following the service at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jackson’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
