James Allen Cash

James Allen Cash, a beloved resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1961, in Battle Creek, the son of Harvey and Shelby (Forman) Cash.  James was a lifelong area resident of Battle Creek.

From an early age, James had a deep connection with the outdoors. He thrived in nature and found solace in its beauty. Fishing and hunting were his greatest passions, and he would often spend hours exploring the outdoors. James was not only an accomplished fisherman and hunter but also an avid archer. His skill with a bow and arrow was remarkable.

Aside from his love for nature, James embraced life with a contagious sense of humor. He saw himself as a comedian and never missed an opportunity to bring laughter to those around him. His jokes and witty remarks would light up any room he entered.

James pursued a career as a truck driver, currently hauling milk for dairy farms. He took great pride in his work and always ensured that the product reached its destination safely and on time.

Prior to his career as a truck driver, James served in the United States Army. He bravely defended his country with honor, demonstrating unwavering loyalty.

In his personal life, James was blessed with a loving family. He was married to Laura Cash, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they raised three children: Nick (Sasha) Diehl, Brandy Messenger, and Jamie Lee (Scott) Collins. James cherished every moment spent with his children and took immense pride in their accomplishments.

James was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Gavin Brooks and a sister Sheila Madry.  Also surviving are his siblings John Cash, Betty Polonen, Tim Cash, Bob Cash, Penny Cash, JR Dorland, twelve grandchildren along with two great grandchildren will forever carry memories of their times spent together.

As we remember James Allen Cash, let us cherish the laughter he brought to our lives and celebrate his unwavering love for nature. His legacy lives on through his family and the impact he made on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
