James Caswell

James “Big Jim” Caswell passed away on February 14, 2022, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo after a long battle with health issues. James was born on March 2, 1963, to his mother Lavonna Marriott. He is also survived by his son, James R. Caswell, two grandsons, Elijah (Quin) Briskie and Gavyn Caswell; two sisters, Pam (Todd) Hagist and Jane Richardi. His lifelong friend, the mother of his children, Connie Lynne Potter-Jones and many other loving family members and friends. James is preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffanie A. Caswell and a brother, John S. Marriott. James worked at Speeds Koffee Shops for many years. His greatest passion in life was always spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time he loved bowling and watching Red Wings hockey and Dallas Cowboys football. Big Jim was an amazing father and the best Papa ever, the kids were his greatest joy. He will be dearly missed by many.
