Janet M. Freeman

Janet Marie Freeman, 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on 07 August 2025. She was born to parents Robert Benjamin Garber and Sylvia Ann (Granfors) Garber, on 22 November 1942 in Battle Creek, Michigan.Besides being a devoted wife and mother to her 3 children she also worked in factories and for GHS strings. Later after James passed she learned to groom dogs and owned 2 dog grooming salons one in Marshall and one in Battle Creek. She also ran a antique consignment boutique in Battle Creek. Janets one passion was painting and after she retired she began showing her paintings a several shows. Many of her paintings are in offices and homes today.Janet met James in 1962. They were married 1963 in City Battle Creek, State of Michigan. Together they raised 3 children: Kerrie, Christine, James.Janet is survived by List of Kerrie Squires (married to Jeffrey) daughter, James Freeman son, Jason Crim (married to Andrea) grandson and several great grand childrenShe was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sylvia, her husband James, her sisters Jean and Linda, her daughter Christine and her grand daughter Janet (Allen) Telsup.The family has entrusted Richard A Henry Funeral Home Battle Creek with the arrangements. She was interned at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek.
