Jean Cook

Jean Cook, age 92, of Battle Creek, Died on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the Laurels of Bedford. Jean was born on November 25, 1928, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of John and Louise (Clark) Prescott. She had been an area resident since 1963. On May 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to Fred Cook who preceded her in death in 1991 after 38 years of marriage.  She retired in 1994, from Henkel Auto where she worked in the office. She enjoyed going out to eat with her friends, traveling around Michigan and was a loving wife and mother. Surviving are her children, Richard Cook and Nancy (Robert) Hazel both of Battle Creek; grandsons, Joe and Chad; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, John “Jack” and George Prescott; sisters, Adline Ingham, Margaret “Peggy” Prescott and Mona Davis. Ln accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and the family will do a service at a later date. Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America or The American Cancer Society.
