Jerry R. Ferguson

Passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Jerry was born on April 28, 1931, in Battle Creek, the son of Clinton and Bernice (Nicewander) Ferguson. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from October 24, 1950, to August 18, 1954. He went on to become a contractor, building and remodeling homes for over 50 years. After his retirement he became a self-taught artist, painting hundreds of pictures. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, working in his yard, and feeding his birds and deer. He is survived by a son, Troy, a daughter, Melanie; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, his wife, Erin Kate; a daughter, Christie and a son, Craig. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A memorial service will be held at the North Avenue Church of God on September 23, 2023 at Noon.
