Juanita Rose Pursell

Juanita Rose Pursell, age 95, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 5, 2025 at her home. She was born on February 9, 1930 in Dayton, Tennessee, the daughter of Jack and Dora (Revis) King. Juanita graduated from Lakeview High School and was a homemaker. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing computer games. Juanita was united in marriage to Eugene Pursell on January 14, 1950 in Battle Creek, he preceded her in death on July 30, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Terry Pursell, brother, Jack King and a sister, Bobbie Bell. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Pamela Pursell of Battle Creek. Visitation scheduled from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Carey Grant officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
