Lannett Michelle Jackson-McGee

Lannett M. Jackson-McGee, age 56, of Battle Creek went home to her Savior on June 11, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1966, in Connersville, Indiana, the daughter of Patty (Jackson) Gipson and Leonard Smithson. Parented by Patty Gipson and “DaDa”,Jemmie Gipson. Lannett moved to Battle Creek, where she made it her home for 40 years. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1984 where she enjoyed cheerleading and dance, then went to  Wrights Beauty Academy and Kellogg Community College . She previously worked for J.C. Penney Hair Salon, De'Ja’Ca family Beauty Salon and her own home Salon , The Alabaster Box and Cute & Sassy Hair Salon. Lannett was an active member in her community , specifically with Art festivals where she and her mother would set up and trade their creations. And at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Maranatha Original Church of God, and C.O.G.I.C  in Phoenix, Arizona. She was actively present and happily involved in several areas at the churches including Sunday school, Choir, Praise Team, Vacation Bible School and Childhood ministry. Lannett was preceded in death by her grandfather; Guy Jackson and grandmother; Martha Jackson. Surviving are her children; Gabrielle Jackson-McGee of Las Vegas, NV., James McGee and Jonti McGee both of Battle Creek, Jamecha McGee of Arizona, mother; Patty Gipson of Battle Creek, brothers; Jimmy and Eric Gipson of Battle Creek, grandchildren; Nehemiah Levi Gipson, Demi Love Elliott, and Zoey Miel Elliott. She was also survived by a host of relatives and friends, including her four God children and her special Aunt Louisa. Homegoing celebration will take place at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rev. Malcolm Satterfield officiating.
