Lavern Michael Boughton

Lavern Michael Boughton, age 68 of Battle Creek, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. He was born on October 29, 1957, in Marshall, Michigan, the son of John and Carolyn (Dotson) Boughton and graduated from Marshall High School. Vern worked as a dispatcher in the trucking industry for many years. He had a passion for cars, especially Corvettes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. In his free time, he could be found hanging out with friends at the Icebreaker. He cherished the moments spent with those close to him, including his sister Crystal (Stan) Elliott of Marshall, and his nephews Brandon (Kalynne) Elliott of Marshall and Brent (Ariana) Elliott of Albion. Lavern also held dear friendships with longtime friend John Boy and close friend Brad (Shannon) Hinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Scott "Chum" Boughton. Visitation will be held at the Richard A Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
