Linda Irish

Linda L. Irish age 77, of Battle Creek, passed away on April 1, 2017.  She was born on June 25, 1939 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Homer and Gladys (Little) Imus. Linda graduated from Lakeview High School.  She was united in Marriage on July 21, 1962 in Battle Creek to Lloyd E. Irish.  Linda was employed with Harper Creek High School as a bus driver and in their athletic department for over thirty years.  She was a member of the Sonoma United Methodist Church, volunteer for the Food Bank of SW Michigan, and enjoyed taking tickets at sporting events and working for Harper Creek High School. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Homer and Gladys Imus, brother; Jim Imus in 1977, son; Brian Irish in 1988, and sister; Beverly Doane in 2014.  She is survived by her husband; Lloyd E. Irish of Battle Creek, sons; Mark Irish of Atlanta, Georgia, and Allen (Simone) Irish of Battle Creek, grandchildren; Eric, Cameron, Alex and Kellee; a sister, Nancy Leonard and brother-in-law, Richard Leonard.  Friends are being received Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the funeral home, with Rev. Sally Harrington and Pastor Bruce Kintigh officiating.  Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of SW Michigan.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
