Linda A. Landers, age 75, lifelong resident of Battle Creek, passed away on December 4th, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 15th, 1950, the daughter of Lester and Juanita (Munger) Sass. From the very beginning, she radiated kindness and compassion that touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was the heart of her family and the soul of every gathering. Married to her beloved husband, Jay Landers, for 50 beautiful years, their love was a shining example of devotion, strength, partnership, and everlasting love. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering love.
To know her was to know unconditional love. She was the kind of person you could always call on, whether you needed a listening ear, a comforting hug, or simply someone to sit with you in silence. Her presence was a gift, her smile a balm, and her words always gentle and wise. She was the definition of sweetness, with a heart so big it seemed to hold the whole world.
She found joy in the simple things, watching her grandchildren grow, cheering on the Detroit Lions as well as all her children and grandchildren at their sporting events, and making sure everyone around her felt seen and loved. Her home was a haven, a place of peace where anyone that walked through the door felt comfort and acceptance, her arms a refuge and open to everyone. Her love, a legacy, that will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Landers, children; Lori (Devon) Robinson, Jayson (Amy) Landers, Jaime Landers, Courtney Madsen, Jeff (Jessica) Wetherell, sisters; Judy (Joe) Whitney, Sue (David) Seamans, brother; Don (Carol) Sass, grandchildren; Alexis Kasten, Jordan Kasten, Cade Landers, Grace Keenan, Hannah Keenan, Zoey Pierce, and Emily Brovont, great grandchildren; Nevaeh, Alana, Malaya, Parker, Jakob, Ally, Camden, Elodie, and Micah. Each of whom carries a piece of her heart, legacy, spirit and the lessons she taught through her grace, strength, unwavering kindness, and love.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday December 12th, 2025 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with Pastor Rob Schwartz officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. for visitation.
