Luise Kaufmann

Luise Kaufmann, 72, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Luise was born July 31, 1951 in Marienstein Germany to Sixtus Kaufmann and Maria Magdalena (Schmid) Kaufmann. She came to the United States when she was 16 and became a naturalized citizen in 1974. She fell in love and married Fr. John Marie Vianney.

Luise loved deeply and cherished the friendships she developed throughout her life. She loved to nurture her creative side and took up paper crafting and was known for gifting her cards and art with all those around her. Luise also volunteered at the local soup kitchen and nursery room at church when she was able.

She was drawn to a life as a nurse and caregiver, where she shared her compassion with everyone from neonatal babies to those at the end of their lives. Luise cared for John, who had a long battle with ALS at home, providing him love and support until he went to be with the Lord while she held him. She was always described as a kind soul and tried to share the joy she found in life with others.

Luise is survived by her two daughters, Kishkamia Kaufmannvianney and Imre Vincent and son-in-law Jason Vincent; beloved grandchildren, Aubreyn, Kaden and Ella Vincent; brother Albert Kaufmann and many nieces and nephews she cherished dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Justin and Tovah Kaufmannvianney; the love of her life John Vianney and sister Marlene Kent.
