Mark Steven Kenworthy, born November 3, 1955, in Marshall, Michigan, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on June 16, 2026. A distinguished Environmental Safety Manager, Mark dedicated 30 years to Brembo, where he was highly regarded for his commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
Mark’s life was marked by a profound connection to the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, attending gun shows, and virtually any activity that allowed him to experience nature firsthand. His adventurous spirit and genuine enthusiasm for the natural world were well known among family and friends alike.
On August 28, 1982, Mark married his beloved wife, Laurena “Sparky” Kenworthy, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. He is survived by Laurena; his mother, Judith Morris of Marshall; his children, Scott Hudspeth of Florida and Kim Giannunzio of Albion; his brother, Doug Kenworthy of Kalamazoo; and his sister, Kelly Casarez of Marshall. Mark was also a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren. Special friendships with Rick Dillon, Norm Reincke, Kevin Thompson, Dennis Inman, Denny Inman and many others enriched his life and are fondly remembered by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Kenworthy Jr., his brother-in-law, Michael Casarez, and his grandparents. Mark’s legacy is characterized by his dedication to family, professional excellence, and a love for the outdoors that inspired those around him.
Visitation will be held on June 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 12:00 p.m. at Richard A Henry Funeral Home, located at 703 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Mark Steven Kenworthy’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
