Marlene V. Leeper

Marlene V. Leeper, age 76, of Battle Creek sadly passed on Thursday, September 10, 2026. She was born in Battle Creek on April 8, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Mable (Berry) VanOrman and graduated from Lakeview High School. Marlene retired from the Battle Creek Federal Center after nearly 30 years and previously worked at Security National Bank.

Marlene married the “Love of her Life”, Glenn V. Leeper Jr. at the Birchwood United Methodist Church, Battle Creek on February 23, 1974; he sadly preceded her in death on December 30, 2023. Her beloved pets Gracie, Teddy, and Sonny also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Glenn (Sherri) Leeper III and Jeffrey (Maggie) Leeper; her grandsons, Glenn (Cheyenne) Leeper IV and Travis (Amy) Leeper; great-grandsons, Coltin Harris and Glenn Leeper V; and her pets, Ozzy, Silly & Dilly.

Marlene had a great love for cars and enjoyed traveling to many car shows, showing off her 1957 T-Bird. She also enjoyed working with stained glass, sewing, and many other crafts. Marlene was a member of the Bedford OES Chapter #471 and was also very active with her husband, Glenn, in many other Masonic organizations over the years.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A private family service will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
