Mary J. Plushnik

Mary Jeanne Plushnik, Age 87, of Ceresco passed away on January 22, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1936 in Battle Creek, Michigan to her loving parents Robert Halder and Margaret (Latshaw) Kellerman. Mary was united in marriage to Robert Lee Plushnik on August 28, 1958. Mary lived a life dedicated to her family. She worked at Kellogg's for five years and worked at Cherry Dale Furniture store. She spent most of her time taking care of the family at home. Outside of work and family life, Mary had several hobbies and interests. She enjoyed cooking especially when preparing meals for family gatherings, cleaning, and making sure the house was taken care of. Additionally, Mary enjoyed looking after and tending to her garden. Mary is deeply mourned by her surviving family members, including her loving children Linda Bailey of Marshall, Mike Plushnik of Marshall, Tony (Jeanine) Plushnik of Ceresco, Dawn (David) Black of Kalamazoo, and Harry (Naomi) Plushnik of Battle Creek. She is also survived by her Brothers Skip Halder and Charles Halder; Sisters-in-law Sara Plushnik, Berniece Parker, Clare Halder, Shelia Halder and Nina Halder; Brothers-in-law Ralph Bates, Dennis Casey; as well as 12 Grandchildren and many Great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stepfather Arthur Kellerman, Husband Robert Plushnik, Brothers Lee Halder, Joe Halder, Larry Halder; Sister Bonnie Bates; and Grandson Josh Parsons. A visitation service to honor Mary's life will be held on January 26, 2024. The visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Richard A Henry Funeral Home located at 703 Capital Ave SW in Battle Creek, MI. Mary J. Plushnik will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
