Norma Jean Hawthorne

Norma (Hackett) Hawthorne passed away January 16, 2025, with her family by her side. Norma was born June 5, 1940, in Battle Creek, Mi., to Francis(Frank)Hackett and Violet (Lower) Beatty. Norma married William (Bill) Hawthorne on October 19,1957 in Battle Creek where they resided their whole marriage. Norma stayed at home with her children when they were young, she was everything a mom could be; loving, protective, supportive and most of all patient, after her children grew up she worked as CNA for many years where her nurturing spirit shone through. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting and family vacations. Later in life she found joy decorating her home and keeping in touch with her children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers: Paul Hackett, Bill Hackett. She is survived by her husband and her children, Bonnie(Dave)McInnis of North Carolina, Sherri(Doug)Felter, Augusta, MI., Jim(Danielle) Hawthorne, of Battle Creek, Lori Palumbo of Hastings, MI. ,two grandchildren Tyler Kerr , Gregory McInnis, two great grandchildren as well as brothers , Danny Beatty, Bob Beatty and her very special sister Kathy Atton.
