Ova Bell Phillips, 88, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at the Oaks at NorthPointe Woods. She was born on December 25, 1922 in Livingston, TN to George and Rose (Harris) Presley. Ova married Cordell Phillips on July 28, 1939 in Livingston, TN. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Ova is survived by three daughters, Mary (Bill) Lohr, and Rose Aldrich, both of Battle Creek, and Bess Street, of Livingston, TN; four grandchildren, Brent Key, Kim Key, Eddie Street, and Michael Aldrich, six great grandchildren, and a sister, Dora Staggs, of Livingston, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cordell, a brother, Elvin Presley, and a sister, Alice Wilson.
Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Monday May 16, 2011 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Isaacs of Riverside Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Newbre Cemetery.
