Patricia Anne (Ewles) Ward, age 84 of Battle Creek, passed peacefully from this earth on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Patricia was born July 28, 1941to Irvine and Florentine (Furguson) Ewles in Hillsdale, Michigan. Patty joined siblings Howard, Janis, Daryl and in due course, Dana. She lived in Hillsdale, Michigan; Bryan, Ohio and Garden City, Michigan graduating from Garden City High School. Patty married shortly after high school and had a daughter Debra. This marriage ended in divorce. Shortly after she met the love of her life Harry Ward, Jr. He fell in love with the beauty in her white bathing suit and her baby girl, Debbie which he eventually adopted. After their marriage, Harry III, Susan and Elizabeth joined the family. Pat and Harry raised their family in Holly, Michigan, Ypsilanti, Michigan and finally settled in Battle Creek. Pat loved crafting, she crocheted, painted ceramics, counted cross-stitch and sewed. She taught her children the love of listening to music and playing board games. Being lifelong campers, Pat and Harry spent 10 years of their retirement living in Bushnell, Florida in their fifth wheel trailer. They returned to Battle Creek in their declining years to be closer to family. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved Harry, daughter Debra, lifelong friend Mary Alice Cobb, her parents, brother Dana and great-grandson Jude. Surviving Pat are her son Harry Ward III, and two daughters: Susan (Todd) Robbins and Elizabeth (Ken) Dunn; grandchildren: Jessie (Brent) Sinclair, Ricky (Karina) Bailey, Samantha (Jon) Timmer, Kelsie Waltman, Meghan Bailey, Shelby (Stewart) Haadsma, Sierra (Austin) Gross, Alma Fischer, Caleb (Avery Marsh) Robbins, Dakota Dunn and Makenna Dunn; great-grandchildren: Odette, King, Bennett, James, Olivia, Meadow, Zac, Mavarick, Sydney, Elijah, Willow, Houston and Gia. In keeping with Pat’s wishes a private interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services www.henryfuneralhome.org
